I have used many types of microphone wind protectors on the market and ever since I’ve used the K-Tek Slip On, that is the first thing I reach for when I step out doors.
I try to keep my audio as clean as possible, so that means a naked mic indoors with out boom movement, a small foam indoors with movement and until recently a zeppelin outdoors with wind. Going from zeppelin mic accembly to a naked mic can take more time than today’s high paced production allows. The Slip-On takes 1 second to take on or off, store easily, plus it has no handling noise For fast clean audio it can’t be beat.
